Kinmel Manor Hotel, Abergele
This family run manor house hotel is set within the peace and tranquillity of the rural surroundings of Abergele, North Wales. The hotel has a spa with gym, pool, sauna and tranquillity suite. 42 beautifully appointed rooms with en-suite bath or shower, plasma TV, complimentary toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities. Lift to all floors.
Day 1 We leave Chelmsford from your local pick-up point and travel to North Wales, making suitable stops on the way to our hotel, The 4 star Kinmel Manor, Abergele. Time to settle in before our evening dinner.
Day 2 This morning we travel to Portmeirion for an included visit to this pretty village with Italianate architecture and Italianate styled gardens designed by Clough William-Ellis. Continue to the slate quarrying town of Blaenau Ffestiniog Railway for a one-way journey to Porthmadog. The historic train descends over 700ft from mountains to sea level. Return to our hotel by coach.
Day 3 Today we have a full day excursion to the popular seaside town of Llandudno with its two sandy beaches and original Victorian features. A ride to the top of the Great Orme on the beautifully restored Victorian Tramway is included. Delighting visitors since 1903, passengers can experience outstanding views across Anglesey and Snowdonia.
Day 4 After breakfast we make our way to Beddgelert station for the scenic railway journey along the foothills of Snowdon to Caernarfon. We allow free time here before enjoying the spectacular scenery of the Snowdonia National Park on route back to our hotel.
Day 5 We leave today and make our way back via Llangollen and on into England with stops on route, arriving in Chelmsford approx. 7.00pm.

My husband and I returned from our trip to Thursford, with a shopping break and one night in Norwich. We thoroughly enjoyed the Spectacular - it was Wonderful. Gary, our driver, was excellent and the journey there and back, plus Sherringham, great.
