During your stay enjoy nearby Brownsea, the largest island in Poole harbour owned by the National Trust, Brownsea Island is also famous as the birthplace of the boy scouts and is a haven for wildlife.

The hotel features just 70 bedrooms over three floors. All rooms are en-suite offering a range of amenities for your comfort, tea/coffee trays and a lift to all floors. The hotel has a harbour view restaurant offering an enticing menu featuring a range of home cooked favourites, the Anchor bar serves a wide range of drinks, snacks and light meals, including room service.
Day 1 Morning collections from your local pick-up point for the leisurely drive to Salisbury known as 'the city in the countryside', the magnificent mediaeval city has it all, historic streets and alleyways, charming half timbered buildings and characterful shopping streets. After some free time we continue to our hotel in Poole.
Day 2 After breakfast we make our way to the Sandbanks ferry and cross to the Isle of Purbeck and onto the charming resort of Swanage, time here before we enjoy a nostalgic steam train ride on the Purbeck line to Norden, 6 miles from Swanage. We then visit the historic village of Corfe Castle before returning to our hotel.
Day 3 Morning to explore Poole quayside with its shops, cafes and working pottery. This afternoon enjoy the natural beauty of Poole harbour (the second largest natural harbour in the world) on a trip with Dorset cruises, past its beaches, bays and on towards Brownsea Island. The cruise continues to Sandbanks with its famous chain operated ferry.
Day 4 Dorchester brings with it the lively atmosphere of a market town, this historic county town boasts an elegant 18th century house, broad walks and cultural traditions and is still very much the 'Casterbridge' of Thomas Hardy novels. Time here before we travel to Weymouth with its fine Georgian seafront and spectacular views from the bay of the world heritage Jurassic coastline.
Day 5 Departing our hotel after breakfast we head to Shaftsbury the 'Shaston' of Thomas Hardy novels, one of the oldest and highest towns in England, time here before the return drive back to Essex arriving in Chelmsford early evening.
